For over a quarter-century, the Beretta 92FS has set the standard for the best military, police, and tactical pistol. This pistol has a number of tactical features that make it equally safe, easy to use, and dependable in military holsters as well as for home or personal defense. Its reversible magazine release allows you to change tactical magazines with either hand, and its ambidextrous safety-decocker makes it suitable for right- or left-handed shooters, as well as shooters experimenting with different gripping or shooting styles.

The Beretta 92 FS semi-automatic pistol has a short recoil, delayed blowback system, which results in faster cycle times, exceptional accuracy, and greater dependability. The chrome-lined barrel is extremely corrosion resistant, and the combat muzzle crown is deeply recessed to protect the rifling. The open top slide virtually eliminates jamming, and the stove piping allows for only one cartridge to be used at a time.
The rear sight is designed to provide a front projection, allowing the user to retract the slide by pushing the rear sight against the edge of a table or door in an emergency. Beretta’s exclusive Bruniton non-reflective black coating provides superior corrosion and wear resistance. The reversible magazine release is located next to the trigger guard and can be used by either right or left-handed shooters. The frame is black, the slide is black, and the magazine holds 15 rounds.

Although the weapon I own is a model SB, it is the same weapon. It is as reliable as any semi auto you can name and has not failed me for untold years. I did upgrade the guide rod, recoil spring and sights once upon a time but not for any good reason, just a whim.
